Grinch or Santa

I think santa should be allowed in schools, because it shows the christmas spirt and most kids love seeing santa around the halls.

I do agree that santa should not be able to go into the classrooms because that shows as a huge distraction to the students, and some students might not celebrate christmas so that might put them in a awkward situation.

Kids still believe in santa so them seeing him around might make them happy.

I feel that the biggest frustration was when the teachers have to face the fact that they don't make enough money and that they might have to get second jobs to cover the bills and other expenses.

I think teachers just need to be recognized more for the good that they do, instead of the bad.
And they also should have longer breaks just like the students do, because they deserve it they work really hard.

Why Do Students Procrastinate?

Negative Beliefs such as; "I cannot succeed in anything" and "I lack the necessary skills to perform the task" may allow you to stop yourself from getting work done.
This my main flaw, When i procrastinate its because I don't believe that some of the things i am learning are going to be used in the future.


I don't find many things we do in school useful and i often find it as a waste of time.


Identify your own goals, strengths and weaknesses, values and priorities.
A way for me to over come my procrastination is to look at all the things I have going for me.


look at what I'm learning in a good way then in a negative way, then I'll enjoy it more.

If I could change education I would..

One of the things I would change the way teachers and students communicate because I do not find email a reliable way to communicate because most teachers do not check email on a daily basis, or students are not clear in what they are asking.

I want to make learning not only more fun but more beneficial for students as well as teachers, I want teachers to feel happy about what they are teaching because many teachers do not seem to like the area they are teaching, which leaves the students bored and to loose focus.

Education needs to change just as fast as the society is, in order for everything to make sense, because back then the education was focused on getting kids ready to work in factories, but now students have better opportunities.

When I am with my first graders certain days we have P.E, music, or computer class.

116.3 (C) For P.E I could teach my kids how to balance on one foot, and how to skip.

126.2 (B) For computer class I can teach them how to properly log off and shut down a computer.

117.6 (A)(B) For music class I can teach them simple songs, play simple songs and games distinguish between different pitches.


I could also teach them simple letter noises, to help them,
for example I can say a simple word like "cow" and I can ask them if it starts with a "C" or a "K"
"I have a Cat" " I fly my Kite"

Teach them about plural and singular words, then have them create sentences.
"Miss.Deysha has 3 dogs" "Miss.Deysha has one dog"

A punctuation game for showing them how to properly end sentences.
"I had a great day." "Can you please help me?" "That's great!"

My first week as a teacher

-I am in Mrs.Landers first grade class for computer class, P.E., and music class.

-When I first approached the class i was excited and nervous at the same time, the kids were extremely happy to see me, and had questions for me the whole time.

-This year I am hoping to learn a lot of things I can use when I become a teacher, I want to help the kids realize education is really important. I also want to learn basic classroom expectations, and how to be a leader for my future kids.

Future technology

I think that is trying to tell us that over the years technologies is going to become more complex and pretty soon we are all going to depend on it a lot more. Technology is going to become more than what we already see it as. Books will be limited because almost everything is going to be done online which will make everything easier.

Recently at school I had the opportunity to read a very interesting article, The article brought great points about our social networks that we use, most of us probably don't think that the things we post on the web will ever be able to be found after its posted but we are wrong. The things we post will remain searchable for many years, ANYONE can access what we have put.

This article made me realize that I need to be really careful as to what I decide to publish on my blog.
